Powell, Inc. was founded on October 15, 1967 by H.E. (Skip) Powell as a factory representative for air distribution products. In October of 1972 Powell, Inc. became an Independent Field Office of Barber-Colman Company, which later became Invensys Building Systems and is now Schneider Electric.
